Hi there, I'm Amelia
I’m a project manager. a parent. Expat living in Brighton, United Kingdom.
A few years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Began
Moving to United Kingdom wasn't part of the master plan. Like many international moves, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The opening months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Daily chores seemed more complex than they needed to be.
The Adjustment Phase
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of hands-on learning. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found places that suited us, met other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Created Ember Cipher Cloud
Most online guidance was either corporate relocation advice or superficial tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site exists to bridge that gap — practical, real-life guidance from United Kingdom.
